The dredging industry
The Netherlands and Belgium are well known for their dredging work all over the world. You can find parts supplied by Ridderflex on dredging vessels in various locations, including Canada, Australia, Dubai and Africa.
The dredging industry requires specific products with special applications. For example, Ridderflex supplies large polyurethane sand spray nozzles for hydraulic sandfill. These spray nozzles are clamped with steel elements and attached to the vessel. Ridderflex also supplies sleeves for the hydraulic cylinders that serve to position the spray nozzles on the vessel’s deck. These sleeves protect the cylinders against the influence of the sea, sand and wind.
Custom-made products
We produce products for the dredging industry according to your specifications. This can be based on a drawing or model. The products supplied to the dredging industry by Ridderflex are used for various applications, including:
- doors and hatch covers: hatch cover and door seals and rubber profiles, for example for glazing;
- on the outside of vessels: slide strips or wear plates and fenders (to avoid damages to vessels and quays);
- in engine rooms: hoses, various gaskets and seals, bearing bushes, shaft bushes and compensators.
New build, renovation and repairs
Ridderflex mainly supplies products to companies that build, renovate or repair vessels for the dredging industry.
