Ridderflex polyurethane sheets for seawater application

Earlier this week, Ridderflex has completed a nice order. For Hollandia, we have produced over 200 polyurethane sheets. These sheets are now applied as protection of subsea pipelines. Our wear-resistant polyurethane sheet will be attached at points where cables and pipes may damage the pipeline.

Hollandia supplied the metal sheets, that had a special treatment to have good resistance to seawater corrosion. Ridderflex treated the sheet with a special primer. Then, we casted a polyurethane layer, with a thickness of 40 mm, on the mounting plate by using a mold.

Polyurethane is known for its extreme wear-resistance. With these protective sheets, Ridderflex chose a polyether polyurethane quality. This material is seawater resistant.
