Rubber edge trim and clamping profiles
In the wind industry, rubber edge trim and clamping profiles are used to finish sharp steel edges in wind turbines. This will prevent damage to pipes and cables and provides a safer working environment for service engineers. Ridderflex supplies profiles in different types, in standard sizes and only in commercial quantities.
Application of rubber edge trim and clamping profiles
Edge profiles and clamping profiles are different types of profiles, but both terms are used. A rubber edge trim or edge profile is clamped to protect a sharp steel edge. A clamping profile has, besides the clamping application, also a sealing function by means of an additional air chamber or a lip seal. This profile can be used in doors and hatches. Placement is easy, because the metal insert gives it a self-clamping effect.
